20ft High-Cube Container Kitchen
Burns & Ferrall (B&F) came to CSL with a vision of a premium container kitchen to showcase their very best products and to be used as an “anniversary giveaway” prize to a qualifying client.
CSL’s Modifications team worked together with many of B&F’s ‘sponsoring’ contractors (electricians, plumbers, etc.) all of whom provided critical services for this project.
The key components of this build were:
- 2 gas-lift pop-up doors and service hatch
- Gas burner hob, griddle and deep fryer
- Rational 6 tray oven
- Turbo-chillers and warming drawers
- Passthrough dishwasher and associated sinks
- Industrial extraction hood and roof mounted vent
The project was a combination of functionality in design and usability, but cram-packed with every accessory for cooking up a storm. The kitchen container was built to high-spec conditions to meet local body requirements for various compliance needs.
Eventually ‘wrapped’ in Black vinyl for the anniversary event, the container was delivered to its inaugural event at the Auckland Showground’s Taste event, with an ecstatic client very happy to have met the tight deadline without compromising on quality of finish.
